At Bredin, our goal is help you break through employment barriers. In some cases that means providing training. When you become a Bredin client we take the time to get to know you. Training is individualized and includes support in areas such as updating your resume, improving your English or learning Microsoft Word.
International Pharmacy Bridging Program
A 41-week program designed to assist International Pharmacy Graduates bridge the gap between their international knowledge and Canadian practice in order to acquire licensure to practice pharmacy in Alberta. The program is broken down into 28 weeks of classroom preparation and 13 weeks of Structured Practical Training (SPT), which prepares graduates to launch active, successful and rewarding careers within the Alberta pharmacy workforce and greater community.
Alberta Registered Nurses Assessment Program (ARNAP) Preparation
The Bredin ARNAP Preparation program will familiarize Internationally Educated Nurses (IEN) with the ARNAP exam process through an intense review of cases, clinical scenarios, and multiple-choice questions. This service is funded by the Alberta Settlement and Integration Program and is offered at no cost to you.
LINC – Bredin Language Instruction for Newcomers
Are you new to Canada? Do you want to learn English? We offer part-time Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) classes, CLB Levels 5-8, for landed immigrants and refugees. Our qualified instructors will teach you how to read, write, listen, and speak in English. These Government of Canada IRCC funded services are offered at no cost to you.
Community and Home Care Worker Integrated Training
If you are currently unemployed, the Community and Home Care Worker Integrated Training Program will prepare you with the essential knowledge, skills and hands-on experience to work with individuals requiring assisted living.
