As former Chief Executive Officer of GRIT (Edmonton), Barb has provided long-standing leadership and advocacy for the advancement of equity and inclusion for children with developmental disabilities and their families, within early learning and child care services.
Barb’s commitment to improve quality and inclusive practices continues through her consultative work with Connecting Canada (a federally funded, early learning and child care innovation project with GRIT) and as Co-chair of the City of Edmonton Council for Early Learning.
Barb joined the Board in 2021 and is the Corporate Secretary. She is also the Chair of the Governance and Human Resources committee and looks forward to continued learning with the Bredin Centre Board.
