🌟Exciting News from Bredin Centre for Career Advancement!🌟
On behalf of the Board of Directors, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Elli Dehnavi
as the new Executive Director of Bredin Centre for Career Advancement, effective January 1, 2025.
Elli is an accomplished leader with an exceptional blend of academic and strategic expertise and
several years of management experience in post-secondary education and non-profit. Holding a PhD in
Cultural Studies from the University of Alberta, Elli brings a wealth of knowledge, passion, and
experience to this role.
Her career has spanned impactful roles at organizations such as NorQuest College and the Centre for
Race and Culture. At NorQuest College, Elli served as Vice Dean of the Faculty of Arts and
Sciences, where she developed strategic and business plans and championed innovative programming to
prepare learners for workforce success. As the Executive Director of the Centre for Race and
Culture, Elli led transformative initiatives, including EDI training for municipal and non-profit
leaders, capacity-building projects for social service agencies, and community-based research that
fostered inclusion and intercultural understanding.
Elli has consistently demonstrated her ability to create inclusive environments, empower
individuals, and build strong partnerships that amplify organizational impact. Her dedication to
the non-profit sector and longstanding admiration for the work of Bredin Centre, combined with her
genuine enthusiasm to join our team, makes this announcement even more exciting.
She shares our unwavering commitment to preparing Albertans for economic independence by connecting
them to meaningful employment and educational opportunities. She is excited for her new role,
stating "I'm honoured to have been chosen to join a dedicated team of professionals and support the
continued success of the organization. I look forward to collaborating with the team, board of
directors, partner organizations, funders and the broader community to serve and empower
individuals and communities across the province."
We are confident that Elli’s leadership, strategic vision, and passion for empowering individuals

Green, who has provided exemplary leadership to Bredin for the past 27 years. Debbie’s vision,
