Program Overview
The Building
Information
Modelling (BIM)
program is
designed to
bridge
internationally
educated
engineering
professionals
into
professional
jobs as
Engineering
Designers/Drafters.
Engineering
technology is
always
undergoing
change and the
introduction of
Building
Information
Modeling (BIM)
is profoundly
changing the way
in which
engineering
design is
completed.
The BIM
program is a 28
week course that
integrates
language
training with
different levels
of computer
software
training,
culminating with
comprehensive
training in the
suite of Revit
BIM software
programs. Course
components
include
technical
language for
engineering,
communication,
cultural
awareness
training,
general computer
upgrading and
training,
employment
readiness skills
and the
completion of
real engineering
design projects.
Upon graduation
from this
program,
graduates will
be at the
forefront of a
new age in
technology and
will be
attractive
employment
candidates to
the engineering
community.
Candidates
for BIM program
will be
unemployed and
significantly
under employed
internationally
educated
Engineers who
require
assistance to
obtain
successful
employment as an
Engineering
Designer/Drafter.
Candidates must
also have a
Canadian
Language
Benchmarks (CLB)
Assessment Level
7.
